Introduction to two-component silicone potting glue:

1. Two-component silicone potting glue is a potting material made of two components AB and cured at room temperature or by heating. The main functions of potting are sealing, waterproofing, thermal conductivity, etc.;

2. According to different curing methods, it can be divided into addition type and condensation type. Additive potting glue generally has a ratio of AB components of 1:1. Component A is black and component B is white. After mixing, the mixture is gray and black.

3. The general ratio of AB components of condensation potting glue is 10:1 or 5:1. Component A is transparent or black or white, and component B is transparent.

Main features of two-component silicone potting glue:

1. Two-component addition-type silicone potting glue is completely non-toxic, has excellent operability, is very convenient to operate and use, has very good foaming properties, and can achieve good thermal conductivity as needed. After curing It has low stress and is very easy to repair and clean. It has good weather resistance and a very wide temperature range, -40-250°C. The disadvantage is poor adhesion.

2. Condensation silicone potting glue is cured by moisture at room temperature and has a certain bonding effect after curing. It is mainly used in the potting of products with low thermal conductivity requirements and high waterproof requirements.

Market application of two-component silicone potting glue:

Additive potting glue is mainly used in applications that require waterproof sealing and heat conduction and heat dissipation, such as driving power supplies, control modules, reactors, transformers, inverters, optimizers, heating coils, etc.

How to use two-component silicone potting glue:

1. Sizing: Use manual or automatic equipment to evenly mix components A and B in proportion (weight ratio). If the glue is mixed manually, pay attention to the edges and bottom of the container when mixing. In situations that are sensitive to gas mixing, Need to be vacuumed and degassed. Place the pouring port of the component to be sealed upward and horizontally, pour in the potting glue and level it by itself;

2. Curing: The addition type potting glue solidifies quickly at room temperature or heated. The higher the temperature, the faster the solidification. Condensation potting glue solidifies at room temperature and cannot be heated.

Precautions for two-component silicone potting glue:

1. If the filled addition potting glue is left for too long, precipitation will occur. It is recommended that components A and B be stirred evenly before use. Pay attention to sealing and storing after use;

2. When stirring, attention should be paid to stirring in the same direction, otherwise too many bubbles will be mixed in: the rubber material on the frame and bottom of the container should also be stirred evenly, otherwise local non-solidification will occur due to uneven stirring.

3. Pour it onto the product and vacuum it again to remove bubbles, which can improve the overall performance of the cured product.

4. If the temperature of the addition-type potting glue is too low, the curing speed will be slow. It is recommended to heat and cure.

5. Addition-type potting glue will be difficult to solidify or will not solidify if it comes into contact with materials containing tin, sulfur, amines, etc. Common substances include rosin and natural rubber, which must be tested before use.
