What key properties are required for silicone adhesives to be used in lamps?

With the improvement of people's living standards, lighting products have entered thousands of households. Most lighting products use silicone adhesives, mainly to bond, fix and seal the components of the lamps. However, in order to produce lighting products with high quality and up to standard service life, the choice of adhesive is very important. Today, TENSAN will introduce to you what key properties should be paid attention to when applying silicone adhesives to lighting products.

1. Yellowing resistance.

Yellowing refers to the appearance of a thicker yellow color after the colloid is cured. During the application process of the lamp, heat will be released. If the selected silicone adhesive cannot withstand high temperature for a long time, it will cause aging, yellow appearance and performance degradation, which will first affect the brightness and concentration of light.

2. No corrosion.

It refers to the phenomenon that the lamp components are corroded during use. Generally, common phenomena after corrosion include cracking, peeling, and discoloration. After the lamp components are bonded and assembled, they are basically in a closed state, but the silicone adhesive has not been fully cured, so small molecules will be released during the complete curing process, and the small molecular gas will condense for a long time to form a liquid that adheres to the inner wall of the lamp shell, so choose It is also one of the key performances that the silicone adhesive does not corrode the lighting material.

3. Torque force.

Torque, this performance parameter is a very important requirement for the use of bulb lamps. Torque refers to a special moment that makes the object rotate. The test method is to use silicone adhesive to bond the bulb socket and lampshade, and then fully cure it, and then select the matching fixture to install it together with the lamp. On the torque sensor, hold the lampshade by hand (wear protective gloves) and rotate it. The force when the lampshade is loose is the torque force. It is precisely the bulb that needs to be twisted during installation. If the torque is small, it is easy to loosen during the installation process, so it is also one of the very important properties.

Different product structures have different requirements for the key application performance of silicone adhesives. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a message in the comment area.
