The amount of thermal grease used is very small, only a thin layer is required. Although the amount of thermal grease used is not very large, it can play a vital role in heat dissipation. If the method is not used correctly, it is useless.


The correct way to use thermal grease:

1. First of all, it is necessary to clean up the place where the thermal conductive silicone grease is to be applied. It must be ensured that there is no residue of cleaning agent, no water or dust.

2. Proper stirring is required during construction to avoid bringing in air.

3. Then apply the well-stirred thermal conductive silicone grease evenly on the interface to be applied, and use a scraper or brush to smooth it out. Remember that the application is uneven and the thickness is different.

4. When scraping, it is necessary to control the coating thickness of thermal conductive silicone grease. It should not be too thick. If it is too thick, it is not conducive to heat dissipation. A thin and uniform layer is enough.

5. You can also use syringe-type heat-conducting silicone grease, which is easier to construct and easier to control the measurement. If there is any excess on the edge, just wipe it clean with a dust-free cloth.

If the method is not correct when applying thermal conductive silicone grease, it is very easy to have poor thermal conductivity or no thermal conductivity. If the heat-conducting silicone grease is coated thicker, it is not conducive to the heat dissipation performance at this time, and it may even affect the heat dissipation effect, so the thickness is very important, and it must be controlled well, not exceeding 3mm.
